Philip Westwood started training in Aikido in 1986 under Chris Mooney 6th Dan in Birmingham. Since 1989 Philip has been training with UK Shinwakai Aikido.  Philip currently holds 3rd Dan in Yoshinkan Aikido. Philip has also trained extensively in Traditional Aikikai Aikido.  Philip runs his own UK Shinwakai Aikido Dojo in Reading. He sometimes teaches at the UK Shinwakai Aikido, Maidenhead Dojo. From his beginnings in Aikido, Philip has travelled to Aikido courses and Aikido clubs throughout the UK to take Aikido training from many European and Japanese Aikido Sensei from various styles of Aikido. Philip has recently moved to Egypt, where he had already made arrangements to continue his Aikido development as well as new arrangements for continued Aikido instruction at the UK Shinwakai Aikido, Reading Dojo
